Diabetes Prevention

Studies have shown that weight loss and lifestyle changes can reduce the risk of developing diabetes. The Tilbury Family Health Team is launching a 3 week series using health coaching principles to assist patients to make lifestyle changes. Topics include: understanding the effects of diabetes on the body, principle for effective goal setting, understanding your eating habits, reducing caloric intake, using the food label, managing challenging situations, exercise that suits you, and stress management. Please call 519-682-2307 to register. The classes are free and open to anyone. You are welcome to bring a guest.

There is also a day series at 9:30 - 11.
